Yoon Chang (b. 1986) is a Korean-American artist based in Los Angeles. She holds a BFA in Interior Design from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY.

Her artistic process is influenced by automatism, which involves accessing material from the unconscious mind during creation. Exemplifying this paradigm, her artistic output showcases a series of mindscape compositions of gestural shapes and lines, layers of translucent and solid colors representing an exploration within herself. By expressing a wide range of emotions through her choice of color palettes and brushstrokes, she aims to convey the dynamics and complexities of human emotions. She invites viewers to engage with their own interpretations and emotions, bridging her personal experiences and the universal human experience.

Yoon Chang’s artistic practice reflects a diversity of perspectives, shaped by her background in interior design and fashion graphic design and her experiences living in Los Angeles, New York, Seoul, and San Francisco.
